Tree

I'm a little bummed right now. We put up lights, I got out all of the decorations we had from last year (all 5 of them) and we bought a Christmas tree (FRESH TREES all the way!). The sad part is, we haven't had the chance to decorate it yet.
With school being so intense, I get home from work and go straight to the couch/bed/floor/anything. Even though there has been time the past two nights to decorate, I just can't bring myself and El Guapo to get up. We like to sit together and do nothing. It's nice. But sad.
It needs to happen tomorrow. Hopefully I can motivate myself.

Ring Christmas Bells

This semester, I signed up to be in the institute choir. I've been in band for 9 years and haven't done anything for the past three- I forgot how fun it is to perform and have a concert to invite everyone to! We performed this year at the Temple Lights and it was so beautiful and fun!

It was cold out so a lot of us wore our coats/hats/scarves like the Arizona wimps we are:

P.s. those cute beanie'd and scarf'd people in front of us was the bell choir we sang with Bella Musica.

Here I am second in from the right on the bottom row. Too bad you can't see my fabulous tights in the picture. I bought them just for this concert :)

It was a nice and {Christmasy} night. It's nice to finally not feel guilty singing those Christmas songs that El Guapo and I have been singing since July haha oops.

Grinch

Ok. My Grinchiness is now cured. It is officially the first day of December. Commence Christmas carols {oops. we've been singing those since July...} Decorating, and Hot Chocolate {with peppermint}:

Thanksgiving was fun. Ironically, even though El Guapo was off of work for Thursday thru Sunday, we ended up spending a lot of time apart, doing our respective girls and guys activities. Gotta love the stache!

Here I am at the house after finishing my Lemon Mirengue Pie :) This year I added vanilla, cream of tarter, and a little bit of melted marshmellow and let me say, delicious!

And we can't forget this little devil in disguise!

Who would think that this cutie has been peeing ALL OVER MY HOUSE!?!? We are trying a new technique to rid him of this nasty habit. Aparently, cats won't pee where their food is. So his food is now in the middle of my front room.

As for projects, My most recent was one that I saw on {the Inspired Room}
My sisters and I did this one together, and let me say, after 2 serious burns from the hot glue gun, I am glad it is finished.

It's a simple wreath made from old book pages :)

Love it!

Monday

It sucks when you work hard and it isn't good enough. And not just in one area of your life but in many. Not a great start for the week.

Photog.

I'm trying to get more experience under my belt, and my sister Liz asked me to take her family pictures while her family was altogether in town.
Here is a peak at it all.

Ummmm... WEDDING!

Can I say busy to the max? Because yeah, that's what I've been.

My sister Liz left yesterday. I miss her already.

Landscaping

This next weekend is my mom's wedding and we are going to have some guests staying at our house... needless to say we've been trying to get things ready & clean for a while now. Hence the painting of the spare room and setting up of the guest bed.
Anyways, a while ago we shoveled out this gravel area right in front of the porch between the porch and the sidewalk... and left it. Left it with a big ugly tube-y pipe thing and ugly dirt. For like the past few months. It's been bad.
So finally I talked Kendall into planting some flowers in there this last weekend! It took some work because we had to get some PVC pipe in there and sprinkler heads and everything but it looks great!

Much better! Now we only have to landscape the entire front year and entire backyard. Haha.

The many...FACES...of disneyland

Mind you, these aren't high quality pictures seeing as how they are pictures of pictures... but still worth the effort.
We had quite a hilarious time making faces on all of the rides. Love my family.

We had a great time :)

Peek

I've been trying to get into photography for a while now. Just with getting my own digital point and shoot camera to doing little photoshoots with my family and friends. Well, lately I've been really realizing the difference that a nice camera can make to a picture {although the photographer behind the camera has to be just as good as the camera}.

So as I was driving home last Thursday talking to Kendall, I was telling him about my hopes and dreams for photography and he remarked "Well, we will have to get you a nice camera then". I responded by saying that I've been wanting one for a while and had it on my Christmas wish list. Next thing I know, Kendall has called his dad (who is a photographer and took our wedding pictures) and had found me a camera that his dad needed to sell anyways. Within 24 hours of telling him my goal, he had made it happen. Love him!

Sooo this last weekend my friend Laurel and her fiance Carlin needed engagement shots done, and asked me to take them! I was oh-so-happy to oblige with my NEW camera.

Here's a few snapshot sneak peeks:

That's all for now. Back to editing.
